01 — Purchase Hardware ($USD)
Every Iris photo booth combines premium lighting, camera, and processing to consistently capture studio-quality portraits. All models include touch-screens running Iris' self-serve capture app. Hardware can be purchased or leased.
02 — Select Your plan ($USD)
Iris' proprietary software platform makes administering headshots easy. We take the complexity, coordination and chaos out of headshots, so you can focus on other things. We offer two levels of plans. Pick the plan that fits your needs.
An Iris Booth is $39,000 USD as a one-time purchase. It's our flagship — a fully enclosed studio built for HQs, hospitals, and campuses. If you want the same photo quality in a smaller footprint, the Iris Air is $17,000 and the ultraportable Iris Flex is $12,000.
Every booth pairs with a software plan, starting at $500/month billed annually, which covers unlimited self-serve sessions, the editing suite, custom branding, instant delivery, and your hardware warranty. Schools, universities, and non-profits get reduced hardware pricing, and we offer long-term rental if you'd rather run the program as an operating expense than a capital purchase.
We offer long-term rental as an alternative to buying, which lets you run the program as an operating expense instead of a capital purchase. Terms depend on the model, the length of the commitment, and the plan you pair it with, so get in touch and we'll put together the numbers for your situation. We also rent by the day and week if you only need a booth for a specific event.
No-Hassle ($500/month) is everything most organizations need to run a headshot program: unlimited self-serve sessions, the editing suite, custom backgrounds and branding, instant delivery, the admin portal, analytics, bulk download, and a 2-year hardware warranty.
Professional ($950/month) adds what larger institutions need — up to five Iris Studios so each team or use case gets its own photo output, API access and automations, approval workflows, SAML/SSO, and a 7-year hardware warranty. The simplest test: if you need forced editing, more than one kind of headshot, or your IT team requires single sign-on, you need Professional.
Yes. We offer introductory packages for smaller academic institutions, and the Iris Flex is our entry point — the lowest hardware cost, portable enough to move between buildings, and it sets up in about five minutes. If your need is occasional rather than ongoing, a rental or Iris Digital may cost you less than owning. Tell us your headcount and how often you'd shoot, and we'll tell you which one is actually cheaper for you.
Yes. Schools, universities, and non-profits get reduced hardware pricing, and we'll work with you on structuring it around budget cycles rather than asking for the full amount up front. Campus programs also tend to be seasonal, with orientation, grad photos, and athletics clustered into a few weeks, so we'll help you size the model and the plan around that pattern rather than around headcount.
Iris Digital is purchased as a subscription, which provides pay as you go flexibility — priced per headshot, starting at $5, with no hardware to buy and no minimum. Your people capture from a phone or laptop through our self-serve web app, and the photos come back processed to the same standard as booth headshots, with the same backgrounds, crops, and branding. Most institutions run it alongside a booth to reach remote staff, satellite offices, and online students, so everyone ends up in the directory looking consistent.
Every Iris booth carries a hardware warranty from the delivery date: 2 years on the No-Hassle plan, 7 years on Professional. It covers defects in materials and workmanship, and we'll repair or replace the affected hardware. It doesn't cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized modification, normal wear and tear, or service performed by anyone other than Iris or an authorized provider.
